Evaluation / Judging of Award Nominations

ADC Staff assigned to the Awards Program will briefly review and acknowledge receipt of all Award Nominations, and transmit the Nominations to the Awards Committee verifying that all required information has been provided in the format required. The Committee Chair will review and notify any non-compliant Nominations and then will forward the compliant applications to the full Awards Committee for review and deliberation.

Nominations will be judged by the criteria identified for each Award Category

Number of Awards

Only one first place award may be granted per award category each year. When exceptional circumstances warrant, the Awards Committee may also select one or more Awards of Merit within a particular award category. If the Awards Committee finds that none of the nominations in a particular awards category are deserving of the award, no award will be granted in that category

Honoring the Award Recipients

Award recipients will be honored at the ADC Annual Conference during an awards ceremony event. Upon request, additional award trophies or plaques will be provided for individuals, firms, or groups affiliated with an award winning project or program, but the recipients must pay for the cost.
