The Air Force plans to transfer a squadron that evaluates bombs and other weapons to Hill Air Force Base, Utah, from Eglin Air Force Base, Fla., the Ogden, Utah, Standard-Examiner reported. Hazardous PFOA and PFOS toxins from firefighting foam and other chemical-based products have been found in groundwater not only at Luke Air Force Base but across Arizona, The Arizona Republic reported. At least 19 other Arizona water systems have found the same chemicals in their groundwater in the last five years a review of federal data and state documents found.
