Austin, Texas, tops the list of service member housing allowance increases for next year, Federal News Network reported, based on DOD’s new list.
The average increase across the country is 2.8%.
A few areas have slight decreases in the allowance, but no service members will see a take in their take-home pay drop, the article noted. Those eligible for housing payments will get them at the previous year’s higher rates.
