A new report shows the defense industry has a $95 billion economic impact in Florida and employs more than 900,000 people. Both figures are up from a 2017 study. “Florida’s military and defense industry has never been more vital to the economic success of our state,” Gov. Ron DeSantis (R) said in a press release….
Naval Base Kitsap, Wash., is converting a community center into child care classrooms that can serve an additional 56 children, according to a DOD story. “2020 is the year of intention, to actively make efforts to meet our families’ needs for child care,” said Claudette Mohn, the base’s child and youth programs director.
