Service members, their families and leaders from activated Vermont National Guard units got a chance to meet in a recent virtual town hall hosted by the Guard, according to a DVIDS story.
The Guard’s Family Programs section organized the event to help families get more information on the Guard’s role in COVID-19 response efforts and ask questions of the senior leaders.
“It was successful. It was nice to see families, smiles and really to allow for a names-to-faces for leadership,” said Candice Bryan-Broe, the senior family readiness support assistant. “Especially in this time, where physical distancing is how we are now socializing.”
Bryan-Broe described the event as similar to a deployment information session and said they may host another if changing circumstances warrant it.
