After an initial announcement by Florida Governor Ron DeSantis of over $2.9 million to benefit the state’s military installations through infrastructure and reinvestment grants, three projects will be receiving funding through Florida Defense Support Task Force (FDSTF) Grant Program.

The award recipients include the Florida Department of Military Affairs, the Bay County Board of County Commissioners and the City of Jacksonville.

“We thank the Florida Defense Support Task Force (FDSTF) for supporting Florida’s military communities and military installation and defense industry, which represents a $95 billion impact to our state,” said Governor Ron DeSantis in a Enterprise Florida news release.

The Florida Department of Military Affairs received $129,000 for encroachment management at Homestead Air Reserve Base.

$270,900 was awarded to the Bay County Board of County Commissioners for assessing rebuilding needs of Tyndall AFB and the Naval Support Activity Panama City from Hurricane Michael.

The third $322,500 was awarded to the City of Jacksonville to promote compatible land use in the Military Influence Zone of Duval County.
