Officials say a shooting which occurred early morning at Grand Forks Air Force Base in North Dakota was an isolated incident and “the installation is safe,” reports Air Force Magazine.

“Our community has been through a lot in recent days, and weeks, and months. We’d like to ask for your continued patience and understanding as we work through the next of kin notifications,” said 319th Reconnaissance Wing Commander Col. Cameron Pringle.

The ranks and names of the deceased airmen have yet to be released.

“Our airmen are well cared for and provided with good supervision, and I’m pretty confident our leadership team is going to take care of all of our airmen in the dorms,” said Col. Pringle in a media briefing on Monday
