Tyndall AFB Implements Five Community Partnership Programs

June 19, 2020

Officials at Tyndall Air Force Base and leaders of the surrounding community announced new programs set to benefit the civilian and military community in Bay County, Florida.

The first is a medical training affiliation agreement which will allow staff at Ascension Sacred Heart Hospital Bay and military medics to work alongside one another to help share expertise.

Another program is a law enforcement driving course between Bay County Sheriff’s Office, Gulf Coast State College and the Tyndall Security Forces Squadron.

Two other initiatives include a joint mosquito eradication program in Bay Country and a military spousal employment program.

The final partnership project is implementing the SkillsBridge program which helps service members gain civilian work experience during their last 180 days of service, NBC reports.
