DoDEA’s Virtual Education Deadline for 2nd Semester on Nov. 6

October 18, 2020

Department of Defense Education Activity (DoDEA) schools will remain open the remainder of the school year, as well as offering a full-time virtual learning option to its K-12 students, the agency announced on Friday.

The enrollment period for virtual education will be open from October 16th to November 6th.

“DoDEA also recognizes that students and families with health vulnerabilities related to COVID-19 still have concerns about returning to school. Parents will have the option to choose the best academic environment for their family for second semester,” said the department in a recent press release.

Parents can register for their student’s option using the DoDEA Aspen Family Portal.

Families who do not want to change their student’s learning mode from the first semester do not need to complete the registration process.
