DIY Defense: New Tool Lets You Build a Fantasy Defense Budget

Three of D.C.’s defense-focused think tanks have come together “to address shared concern: lack of understanding about how defense strategy and security objectives are translated into concrete budget choices. To meet this challenge, the three organizations built the Defense Futures Simulator.”

The interactive tool from the American Enterprise Institute, the Center for Strategic and International Studies and War on the Rocks, lets users create a defense budget based on decades of budget figures and other data.
