Biden Will Deploy Military to Help with Winter COVID Surge

December 21, 2021

President Biden is expected to announce today that he will send medically trained military personnel to hospitals to help with an expected surge in COVID-19 cases in the coming weeks and months as the coronavirus’s omicron variant takes hold across the country.

That is just one of the measures Biden will outline in an afternoon address.

“We have the tools, more than ever in this pandemic, that there’s no need to lock down our schools and our economy,” a senior administration official told reporters Monday night, according to CQ.
