About 260 soldiers from Fort Campbell, Kentucky will deploy to Europe this fall to support the response to Russia’s attack of Ukraine, the Army announced….

The Navy will contribute almost $15 million to help protect the groundwater aquifer serving Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam, Hawaii and much of the Honolulu area, Stars and Stripes reported. The funding through DOD’s Readiness and Environmental Protection Integration Program Challenge follows last year’s fuel contamination at the Red Hill fuel storage facility….

A group of veterans is raising money to build what would be Connecticut’s first monument to veterans of the wars in Afghanistan and Iraq, the New Haven Register reported. The group has a public fundraising website and is also getting support from a local brewery, which created a new craft beer and will donate a portion of it sales to the project….
