Fort Stewart, Georgia leaders are taking a “more methodical approach” to addressing a boom in reports of mold in barracks, as Stars and Stripes reports. “Instead of simply going and cleaning up the mold, now we’re assessing what was the root cause of the mold colonization or infestation,” said Bill McGovern, a public works technical engineer who leads the base’s mold response team….

All soldiers who were living in the Smoke Bomb Hill barracks at Fort Bragg, North Carolina have been moved to other barracks or off-base housing, Army Times reported. The Smoke Bomb Hill facilities were found in August to be in an unlivable condition.
