April 26, 2023

The latest episode of America’s Defense Communities | The Podcast focuses on the 2023 Defense Community Champions program, of which Navy Federal Credit Union is the official sponsor. The episode is now live on Spotify, YouTube and wherever podcasts are available.

It’s hosted by ADC Communications Coordinator Isabel Zimmerman and On Base Editor Randy Ford, with defense community news updates from Chris Duyos, who also mixed the episode.

On the podcast, Ford interviews Kimberly Huth, the director of military affairs for St. Clair County, Illinois, who was selected as a 2023 national Defense Community Champion. He also talks with Col. Christopher Robinson, commander of the 375th Air Mobility Wing at Scott Air Force Base, about working with Huth and others in the community.

ADC’s YouTube page has a video of Huth’s story as well as those of two other 2023 Defense Community Champions, Lucy Greene from South Georgia and Rick Mueller from Sierra Vista, Arizona.

Applications will be open in May for next year’s Defense Community Champions program.
