Edwards Air Force Base, California will become the first installation to have electric air taxis, starting next year, according to Stars and Stripes. The aircraft, manufactured by Joby Aviation, can carry a pilot and four passengers for up to 150 miles. “We ae honored to continue the tradition of accelerating emerging aviation technology as we become the first base to exercise electric air taxis,” Lt. Col. Adam Brooks, director of the Air Force’s Emerging Technologies Combined Test Force, said….

Fort Stewart, Georgia Garrison Commander Col. Manny Ramirez recently thanked the Coastal Georgia community for its support of the base. “We couldn’t do our jobs without having you in our lives,” he told the Liberty County Chamber of Commerce, the Coastal Courier reported. “You guys are what makes Fort Stewart special.” The region was part of ADC’s 2021 class of Great American Defense Communities.
