An initial Air Force review shows there are no current risk factors to explain an unusual number of service members’ blood cancer diagnoses at Malmstrom Air Force Base, Montana, AP reported. Reports surfaced in January that at least nine missileers who served at the base were diagnosed with non-Hodgkin lymphoma. Since then, more than 30 cancer cases have been reported from Malmstrom and other nuclear missile facilities, including F.E. Warren Air Force Base, Wyoming, Minot Air Force Base, North Dakota and Vandenberg Space Force Base, California….

Fort Hood, Texas will be redesignated Fort Cavazos May 9, the Army announced Monday. “We are proud to be renaming Fort Hood as Fort Cavazos in recognition of an outstanding American hero, a veteran of the Korea and Vietnam wars and the first Hispanic to reach the rank of four-star general in our Army,” said Lt. Gen. Sean Bernabe, III Armored Corps Commanding General. “We are ready and excited to be part of such a momentous part of history, while we honor a leader who we all admire.” The renaming ceremony will be live-streamed.
