Leaders from the Department of Defense, the Association of Defense Communities and other organizations will talk about foreign investment near installations during next week’s ADC Connect.
The first-of-its-kind event takes place Thursday, June 22 from 9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. at the Madison Hotel in Washington, D.C.
“Growing communities are always looking for new and diverse economic development opportunities including those from outside the state and beyond, but those of us near military installations have additional considerations to weigh when foreign investors are looking at our area,” said ADC President Karen Holt. “Discussions like the ones we’re having at ADC Connect are critical to ensuring our communities’ economic development activity enhances rather than endangers the important military missions we’re proud to help support.”
