Kimberly Huth, executive director of military affairs for St. Clair County, Illinois, has been appointed to the Association of Defense Communities board of directors, according to an ADC press release. St. Clair County is home to Scott Air Force Base.

“We are thrilled to have Kimberly join our board of directors,” ADC President Karen Holt said. “She brings fresh ideas and unique experience that will only strengthen ADC’s mission moving forward.”

Huth will serve through June 2024, the remainder of the term of Greg Doyon, who departed the board earlier this year.

“I have spent my entire adult life dedicated to the freedom of our nation and ensuring that those who serve have a voice and are supported,” Huth said, “so that when our nation receives the call, there is no doubt that they and their families are mission-ready and supported by the community in which they serve and live,” Huth said.

ADC named Huth one of three national Defense Community Champions at the 2023 Defense Communities National Summit, where a video showcased her commitment to the installation and the community – and why she loves the work she does.
