As many as 20 homes on base at the U.S. Military Academy at West Point, New York were damaged with standing water in recent floods. Stars and Stripes reported that Balfour Beatty, which manages West Point housing, has sent additional maintenance staff from other installations in the region….

Naval Submarine Base New London, Connecticut recently completed a pedestrian tunnel restoration project, according to a DVIDS story. “Each year approximately 26,000 people pass through this tunnel connecting upper base to the higher security zone of lower base,” SUBASE Commanding Officer Capt. Kenneth M. Curtin Jr. said. “When I took command of the base, I noted the poor condition of this vital access way and challenged our Public Works team to see what they could do about it.” It’s the first project completed at SUBASE that relied on an Intergovernmental Support Agreement – this one with the Capitol Region Council of Governments. SUBASE signed three IGSAs with partners in April 2022, including CRCOG, Groton Utilities and the Connecticut Department of Transportation….

The Flint Hills Regional Council in Kansas is seeking an executive director. The organization represents a seven-county region supporting Fort Riley, according to the job posting.
