700 DOD Personnel in Maui; Biden to Visit Today

About 700 DOD personnel are in Maui to help with wildfire recovery, the Pentagon announced Friday, according to Stars and Stripes.

The response team, known as Combined Joint Task Force 50, is there “in the support of the county of Maui,” said Army Brig. Gen. Stephen Logan, the task force leader. He’s also the deputy adjutant general of the Hawaii Army National Guard.

President Biden is set to visit Maui today.
