Among the entities helping with Hurricane Idalia recovery is the Florida State Guard, recently stood back up by Gov. Ron DeSantis (R) to support the National Guard. It’s the civilian volunteer force’s first deployment since it went defunct after World War II, according to WPTV….

Anderson Air Force Base, Guam is “getting back on its feet” three months after Typhoon Mawar, Air Force Times reported. Base services are up and running again, and airmen are once again able to move to Andersen from their previous posts.
