House Speaker Mike Johnson (R-La.) Thursday rolled out a package of national security bills. One would provide funding to Ukraine, another to Israel and another to Indo-Pacific allies. A fourth bill includes other national security items, such as a potential TikTok ban and using seized Russian assets to fund the Ukraine aid.

Each bill will get a separate vote, which is expected to happen Saturday.

Biden on Board

The White House is supportive of the approach.

“The House must pass the package this week, and the Senate should quickly follow,” President Biden said in a statement. “I will sign this into law immediately to send a message to the world: We stand with our friends, and we won’t let Iran or Russia succeed.”
