Contaminated Ground Water Found Near Fort Liberty

The Army recently conducted 12 tests in private wells surrounding Fort Liberty, North Carolina and found four with high levels of PFAS and PFOS, CBS17 reported. The chemicals were likely from firefighting foam used at the base.

California Reserve Base Closes Exchange Due to Costly Repair Requirements

March Air Reserve Base, California’s only military Exchange is closing due to the need for expensive repair work on fire suppression, roof repairs, security and plumbing. It was the only exchange in the region, NBC Los Angeles reported. The base is encouraging shoppers to use the Exchange’s online store.
