Most Branches on Track to Hit Recruitment Goals

Recruitment in the military services is looking strong, Military Times reported, citing service officials who spoke at last month’s Defense Advisory Committee on Women in the Services quarterly meeting.

The Army, Air Force and Marine Corps will meet their recruitment goals by the end of the fiscal year that ends Sept. 30. The Navy, however, expects to miss its target.

“We are seeing significant increases year over year,” Master Chief Gerald Allchin said. “Right now, we’re projecting a miss of around 4,200 for our active enlisted mission of about 40,600.”
