Texas Base Partners with Local Childcare Company

Joint Base San Antonio has partnered with Pre-K 4 SA to provide military families better access to childcare. The agreement includes professional training both on- and off-base for childcare providers and stronger communication between the base and Pre-K 4 SA. “By ensuring our service members’ children have priority access to high-quality early education, we’re not only investing in their future but also enhancing military readiness.” Brig. Gen. Russell Driggers, commander of Joint Base San Antonio told KSAT.

New Colorado Program Provides Appliances for Veterans

Houses for Warriors has partnered with Colorado company Specialty Appliance to provide free appliances to veterans, KRDO reported. Donations from Specialty Appliance are being shipped out within a 100-mile radius of Denver, and veterans are eligible even farther outside that range with shipping arrangements. Those interested can apply online.
