Massachusetts lawmakers, with the governor’s support, recently passed the HERO Act to expand veterans benefits, including increasing benefits for disabled veterans and incentivizing hiring veterans through tax credits, according to WWLP.

Illinois Reserve Center Returned to Locals After Reverter Clause Lapses

The Army Reserve Center in Belleville, Illinois has been reclaimed by the city and sold to St. Clair County for $25,000, BND reported. The deed the city gave DOD included a reverter clause stating that if the land was abandoned for five years, it would be returned to the city. The space will now be used as emergency equipment storage for St. Clair County.
