Ohio Chooses Dayton as New Innovation Hub

A new innovation hub has been established in Dayton by Ohio Gov. Mike DeWine (R), dedicating $35 million to developing Dayton into a base for research and development of new technologies. These technologies will include artificial intelligence work to help streamline and assist Wright Patterson Air Force Base, according to WHIO.

Former Texas Base Proposed to Become Urban Park

Author and journalist Lawrence Wright has proposed a plan to redevelop the former site of Camp Mabry, Texas into “a bustling, exciting, interactive urban park,” the Austin Monitor reported. The park would span 385 acres.

Florida Military Housing Project Competing for Funding

Parrot Pointe developers are hoping to receive funding to build military housing in Callaway, Florida, near Tyndall Air Force Base, according to WJHG. The project would house 75 to 100 units. Bay County needs $340,000 in funding from the Florida Housing Finance Corporation, which will pick from 10 potential plans this October.
