Help ADC Define the Future of Military-Collaboration

October 31, 2024

A report ADC released this week kicks off a discussion about how defense communities and the military can more closely collaborate over the following decades. Ivan Bolden, former head of Army partnerships, and Teran Judd, senior advisor at The Roosevelt Group, lead an ADC working group behind the report, “Defining the Future of Military-Community Collaboration Ideas and Opportunities.”

“We want to develop a vision and roadmap for the future of military-community collaboration for the next five, 10, 20 years,” ADC President Karen Holt said at ADC Installation Innovation Forum in announcing the report, which is part of the association’s blueprint for the future as it approaches its 50 anniversary.

The report outlines potential approaches in three areas:

  • Expand the use and impact of a broad range of partnerships tools that support both mission assurance and quality of life.
  • Strengthen the impact of partnerships by investing in education, awareness building and the capacity of communities to support partnerships.
  • Build institutional acceptance of partnerships in DOD, the services and at the installation level with buy-in from DOD.
ADC Solicits Input

Holt told Forum attendees that ADC is seeking feedback on the working group’s preliminary ideas. You can read the report and share feedback on the ADC website.
