Video: N.C. Coast Guard Partnership Helps Aviation Students Take Off

Base Elizabeth City, North Carolina has a unique partnership with Elizabeth City State University, an HBCU near the Coast Guard base. The collaboration provides students in the Aviation Science Program with scholarships and hands-on experience, paving pathways to both aviation careers and Coast Guard Service.

Elizabeth City was celebrated during this week’s Installation Innovation Forum, along with Fort Smith, Arkansas and the Black Hills region of South Dakota as Great American Defense Communities, an ADC program sponsored by USAA.
