Soldiers Support Local Agriculture in Hawaii

A DVIDS story recently covered the efforts of soldiers from Army Garrison-Hawaii who recently worked alongside nonprofit Hui Mahiʻai ʻĀina to build and maintain gardens. The project coincided with Hawaii’s recent plans to develop their agriculture industry through sustainable practices.

Former Illinois Guard Armory Has Official Buyer

The Rockford Arts Council has begun moving forward with plans to purchase the Illinois National Guard Armory, which has been owned by the city for the last two decades. According to My Stateline, the Rockford Arts Council will be conducting an environmental cleanup of the property in partnership with the city before fully moving in, with the hope to turn it into a community art space after receiving funding.
