Civil War Remains Finally Laid to Rest in Seattle

A collection of Civil War remains found in urns in a Seattle funeral home were recently buried by the Missing in America Project, a group dedicated to locating, identifying and burying veteran remains. “It’s something long overdue,” Tom Keating, the Missing in America Washington state coordinator, said, according to AP. “These people have been waiting a long time for a burial.”

Arizona Water Agreement Faces Second Look after Environmental Concern

After a lawsuit was filed by the conservation group Center for Biological Diversity, Arizona Gov. Katie Hobbs (D) agreed to reconsider the 100-year water guarantee for military housing water supplier Pueblo Del Sol Water Company. The deal has faced backlash for potentially depleting the groundwater that flows into the San Pedro River, according to KJZZ.
