Khanna Suggests Working with Musk on Defense Cuts

House Armed Services Committee member Ro Khanna (D-Calif.) has signaled that Democrats may work with Elon Musk and former presidential candidate Vivek Ramaswamy as they look for areas to cut spending in the federal government. Musk and Ramaswamy are heading up President-election Trump’s “Department of Government Efficiency,” an unofficial group to identify government cuts.

Khanna said on CNN Monday that there could be bipartisan cooperation to cut “waste, fraud and abuse” from the DOD budget, as The Hill reported.

Khanna later posted the CNN clip on X.

“When it comes to cutting waste, fraud, and abuse and opening the 5 primes to more competition, there are Democrats on HASC who will work with @elonmusk and @DOGE,” he wrote in the post.
