Wilkie to Lead Transition to Trump’s DOD

Robert Wilkie, former Veterans Affairs secretary and a past Pentagon personnel chief, is overseeing President-elect Donald Trump’s transition team for DOD, as Military Times reported. Wilkie will lead the search for a new defense secretary and other top civilian positions.

Since 2021, Wilkie has worked on military and veterans issues at the America First Policy Institute, a conservative think tank.
