Eleven Florida Communities Get Infrastructure Funding to Support Military

Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis (R) announced $2.1 million in funding to communities for infrastructure projects that support the military through the Defense Reinvestment Grant Program, according to a press release.

“These awards will have impacts across the state, building on past investments and further cementing the bond between our defense communities and military installations,” said J. Alex Kelly, the state’s secretary of commerce.

The grantees are:

  • One Okaloosa Economic Development Council
  • Bay Defense Alliance
  • Orlando Economic Partnership
  • Economic Development Commission of Florida’s Space Coast
  • Pensacola-Escambia Promotion and Development Commission
  • Bay County
  • Santa Rosa County Board of County Commissioners
  • Clay County Economic Development Corporation
  • Tampa Bay Defense Alliance
  • Miami-Dade Beacon Council
  • Pinellas County Board of County Commissioners
