The House passed the National Defense Authorization Act Wednesday by a vote of 281-140. Some Democrats voted against the bill because it denies some health care for transgender minors enrolled in Tricare, as The Hill reported.
The bill is expected to be on the Senate floor next week.
Among other provisions, it includes a 14.5% pay raise for junior enlisted officers, as On Base reported.
