Congressional leaders Tuesday night released legislative text for a continuing resolution that would extend government spending to March 14, as The Washington Post reported.
House Speaker Mike Johnson (R-La.) is getting heat from some in his Republican conference for the delay and for adding other provisions, including an extension of farm bill provisions and disaster aid. Johnson will need bipartisan support to get the bill out of the House.
The bill needs to get through both chambers by Friday night to avoid a government shutdown.
