President-elect Trump has nominated Daniel Driscoll, an Army veteran who served in the Iraq war to lead the Army, as AP reported. A friend and aide to Vice President-elect J.D. Vance, Driscoll has worked in investment banking and as a consultant in North Carolina.
“Dan will be a fearless and relentless fighter for America’s Soldiers and the America First agenda,” Trump wrote in a social media post.
Driscoll left the Army in 2011 at the rank of first lieutenant.
