U.S. Northern Command suspended the Trusted Traveler Program after last week’s security incidents in New Orleans and Las Vegas, as Task & Purpose reported. “This is a prudent measure to ensure the safety and security of our installations and personnel,” NORTHCOM said in a statement. “This may have the potential to cause delays for personnel or visitors entering installations.” The Trusted Traveler Program allows registered installation visitors to vouch for others in their vehicle. The suspects in the apparently unrelated incidents both served at Fort Liberty, North Carolina but were not stationed there at the same time. Army photo by Antoine Aaron
