U.S. Northern Command suspended the Trusted Traveler Program after last week’s security incidents in New Orleans and Las Vegas, as Task & Purpose reported. “This is a prudent measure to ensure the safety and security of our installations and personnel,” NORTHCOM said in a statement. “This may have the potential to cause delays for personnel or visitors entering installations.” The Trusted Traveler Program allows registered installation visitors to vouch for others in their vehicle. For now, all installation visitors over 18 will have to show an ID. Installation security will also perform random inspections. Neither vehicle-involved event happened at an installation.
