Almost one in three Marines now reenlists when their first contract is up, USNI reported.
The branch is continuing to transition to its Talent Management 2030 plan, which is focused heavily on retaining Marines and giving them more flexibility to shape their careers.
“As the character of warfare continues to change, our personnel models cannot remain stagnant. We must invest in and retain talent across the Marine Corps to support force design, increase our lethality and enhance the Corps’ warfighting capabilities,” the Corps said in a recent Talent Management 2030 update.
