The Biden administration announced Thursday what is likely to be its last shipment of military aid to Ukraine. The package of about $500 million includes air defense missiles, air-to-ground munition and F-16 support equipment, according to a DOD press release.
The U.S. has sent more than $65 billion in support to Ukraine since Russia invaded in February 2022, according to an updated DOD fact sheet.
“Our work together has changed the course of history,” Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin said Thursday at Ramstein Air Base, Germany after leaving his last meeting of the international Ukraine Defense Contact Group he first assembled in 2022.
