Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth promised again Monday that the military will continue to support immigration enforcement efforts, this time while visiting the border with border czar Tom Homan, as The Hill reported.

“Any assets necessary at the Defense Department to support the expulsion and detention of those in the country illegally are on the table,” Hegseth told reporters. He said the goal is to have “100% operational control of the border.”

Hegseth ordered another 500 service members to the border over the weekend, bringing the total number of military personnel in the region to 4,500.
