Alabama Base Prepares for Threat of Drones

Fort Novosel, Alabama has been running exercises to train against armed drones, TRADOC reported. The exercises ran through two scenarios, one where a hobby drone made its way onto the property and another where a small fleet of attack drones dropped explosives at critical points on the base. The base also practiced using potential drone-jamming technology that would be sent ahead of a potential drone attack.

“Overall, the full-scale exercise went very well,” Steven Rogers, an emergency manager with the Directorate of Plans, Training, Mobilization, and Security said. “We identified some vulnerabilities and ways we can improve and make ourselves better prepared for an incident.” Army photo By Cpl.
