RFP for Redevelopment Planning at PuebloPlex

The Pueblo Depot Activity Development Authority in Colorado is accepting consultant firm proposals to prepare a redevelopment plan and master infrastructure plan for the Pueblo Chemical Agent-Destruction Pilot Plant, according to an RFP. The project also involves updating past plans for the entire redevelopment. Proposals are due April 14.

Former Illinois Base Still Requires Funding for Environmental Cleanup

CU-Citizens Access recently reported on the state of the former Chanute Air Force Base in Rantoul, Illinois, a location the Air Force has moved out of completely after $200 million spent on environmental cleanup efforts. The base was home to extensive practice of using firefighting chemicals that contain PFAS. The Air Force has acknowledged that the base still needs $76 million in further cleanup work, but it is unclear when that will take place.
