Air Force, Space Force Cancel Family Days

The Air Force has canceled family days for airmen and guardians this year, Military.com reported. Service leaders said the bonus time off around federal holidays is not in line with the administration’s focus on readiness and lethality.

“Providing blanket designations of pass days, often called family days, to align with all 11 federal holidays throughout the year does not support our ability to execute the mission with excellence while maintaining our competitive advantage,” an Air Force memo said, according to the report.
