Virtual Reality Medical Training Introduced in North Carolina
The Womack Army Medical Center at Fort Bragg, North Carolina has introduced a new virtual reality training program for medical staff, a DVIDS story reports. The system, which tracks the staff member’s movements in a virtual simulation of a battlefield scenario, prepares them for using protocol in real life deployment situations.
“Participants in the training will practice their clinical decision-making skills that they are not able to exercise all of the time in their daily work environment,” said Nancy Harnois, certified healthcare simulation educator at Womack.
