Indiana Munitions Recycling Program Supports Local Businesses

The Crane Army Ammunition Activity, Indiana’s recycling program saves excess metal from building and decommissioning munitions that then is bought by local recycling businesses at a rate of about 3,000 tons per year, the Army reported. The program provides the plant with $370,000 a year, which is then reinvested back into production.
