The White House this week nominated Adm. Daryl Caudle to become the next chief naval officer.
Caudle is currently commander of Fleet Forces Command, Naval Forces Northern Command and Naval Forces Strategic Command, DefenseScoop reported. His bio shows that much of his career has been spent leading submarine missions.
Adm. James Kilby has been acting CNO since Adm. Lisa Franchetti was removed from the post in February.
USMC’s Mahoney Picked for Vice Chiefs Chair
The White House also nominated Marine Corps Assistant Commandant Gen. Christopher Mahoney to serve as vice chair of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, Breaking Defense reported.
