Service Dog Program Receives Third Community Outreach Grant

Paws of War ENC, a group that helps connect service members with companions, therapy dogs or service dogs has been rewarded with the Community Outreach Grant for the third year in a row. The grant program, run by Military Officers of America, works to improve quality of life for service members. Paws of War has been able to train nearly 100 dogs with the money provided by the grant, WNCT reported.

New “Electromagnetic” Army Unit Created in Georgia

The Georgia Army National Guard recently activated a new type of Army unit, the 111th Electromagnetic Warfare Company, Task & Purpose reported. The unit will help modernize warfighting capabilities and help initiate and defend against cyberattacks, as well as tackling drone attacks. Exercises for the unit will begin in August.
