Coast Guard Helps Clean Ohio Oil Spill

An unidentified source recently spilled oil into Kingsbury Run tributary of the Cuyahoga River near Cleveland, Ohio, according to a Coast Guard story. A Unified Command was formed to address the cleanup, which includes the Coast Guard and the Environmental Protection Agency, who will work together to contain the spill and limit the damage done to local communities and the environment.

Georgia Fort Upgrades Range for New Rifles

Fort Benning, Georgia recently upgraded its shooting range to accommodate for the better range of new military rifles, such as the MK22. The distance has been increased from 800 meters to 1,100 meters as part of an ongoing modernization at the fort that is planned for the next seven years, Army Times reported.
